Tangy Stuffed Banana Peppers



  • 1 lb. Mild or Hot Sausage
  • 8 Hot or Mild Banana Peppers
  • 2 jars MID'S Italian Sausage Sauce
  • 1/4 Diced Sweet Onion
  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 cup Seasoned Italian Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tbsp. Minced Garlic
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp. Oregano
  • 1 tbsp. Pecorino Romano Cheese


Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a deep glass dish.
Prep your banana peppers by cutting directly in half and scooping seeds out. 
Put sausage, egg, oregano, Romano cheese, diced onion, bread crumbs and garlic in mixing bowl and combine. 
Cover glass dish with half a jar of MID'S. 
Stuff banana peppers comfortably with sausage mix. Fold edges of banana pepper up around the sausage. It should stay molded, but if it is falling apart use a toothpick to hold the pepper around the sausage while cooking.
Add banana peppers to glass dish and cover with a new jar of MID'S. 
Cook on 350 for 45 minutes.

Serving Information

Serve with spaghetti and excess sauce.
