Chicken Cacciatore Wings


  • 2 lbs of chicken wings and drumsticks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp pepper or to taste
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups MID'S True Sicilian Pasta Sauce, flavor of your choice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped for garnishing


Disjoint thawed wings if not already done. Spray a pan then place on shallow pan.
Bake wings on middle rack in a 450-500 degree oven for 50-75 minutes until browned or crispy.
Turn on broiler and broil until golden brown, then turn wings and broil/brown the other side. 
Place fully cooked wings in a crockpot and set on low.
Add the MID'S True Sicilian Pasta Sauce of your choice. (Mideo’s Marinara Sauce, Garlic & Onion Sauce or Three Cheese Sauce are our favorites for this!)
Add canned or fresh red and green bell peppers to your taste, and gently stir all ingredients to get a nice coating on all the wings. If using fresh peppers, cook peppers ahead of time so they are softer. 

Serving Information

Let simmer until hot and ready to serve.
