Penne with Vodka Cream Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 small shallot, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper, or to taste
- 1 jar MID'S Traditional Sauce
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 lb. penne pasta

Directions
- Bring large pot of salted water to boil.
- Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add shallots and cook until softened, about five minutes.
- Add garlic and crushed red pepper and cook until aromatic, about 30 seconds, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add MID'S Sauce and vodka, and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low to maintain a low simmer. Add penne to boiling water and cook until al dente.
- Just before pasta is done, add cream to sauce and stir until fully incorporated.Drain pasta and toss with sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnishing with minced parsley and freshly grated Parmesan if desired.
