MID'S Halftime Hummus


  • 1 bag garbanzo beans/chick peas
  • enough water to cover the beans in a crockpot
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon (or more to taste) crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup MID'S Pizza Sauce


Place beans in crockpot and cover with water. Cook on high 6 hours or until beans are soft. Drain the beans and place them in a food processor while still hot.

Add the salt, olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, parmesan cheese and MID'S Pizza Sauce.

Pulse until smooth and creamy. Place in container for serving. Garnish with a few pepperoncinis, crushed red pepper flakes and fresh parmesan cheese. Serve with veggies, pita chips, pretzels, breadsticks or whatever you choose!
