Homemade Chili


  • 1 jar (32 oz.) MID'S Meatless Sauce
  • 1 jar (16 oz.) MID'S Meatless Sauce
  • 2 1/2 lbs. ground beef (85/15)
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 can (28 oz.) diced tomatoes in juice
  • 2 cans (32 oz. total) kidney beans, drained
  • 1/8 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Hot chili powder (to taste)
  • Cinnamon (to taste)


Brown ground beef and drain.
Return to low heat and add onion, brown sugar, black pepper and cinnamon.
Continue to heat until spices are mixed and onions are slightly soft.
Add beans, tomatoes and MID'S Sauce. Stir in hot chili powder to taste.
Simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Can also be put in Crock Pot on low overnight
