Pasta in a Pot


  • 2 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 jar MID'S Italian Sausage Sauce
  • 1-1/2 pints sour cream
  • 1 lb. can stewed tomatoes
  • 3 oz. can mushroom pieces
  • 8 oz. package shell macaroni
  • 1-1/2 lb. package sliced provolone
  • 1-1/2 lb. package sliced mozzarella


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook meat in large skillet until done, then drain fat.
Add onions, MID'S Sauce, garlic, tomatoes and mushrooms (do not drain), and mix well. Simmer 20 minutes.
Cook macaroni as directed and rinse.
Pour half of macaroni in large baking dish.
Cover with half of meat mixture then half of the sour cream. Top with provolone cheese.
Repeat layers, but top with mozzarella cheese.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
