Mussels with Garlic and Onion MID'S

Craving a simple but delicious seafood dish? Our Mussels with Garlic and Onion MID'S Sauce is sure to hit the spot!


  • 1 jar MID'S Garlic & Onion Sauce
  • 1 c. white wine
  • 1 tbsp. fresh chopped oregano leaves
  • 1 tbsp. fresh chopped basil leaves
  • 4 lbs. fresh mussels, debearded, scrubbed and rinsed
  • 1 tbsp. fresh chopped basil leaves
  • 1 lb. spaghetti


Boil a pound of spaghetti.

Put Garlic & Onion MID'S over medium heat in a deep pan. Add the wine and reduce it by half. Add the mussels to the pan and allow to cook for about 10 minutes until all the mussels are open. Transfer mussels to a platter. (Discard any mussels that do not open.) 

Mound some pasta in the center of the plate surrounded by the mussels. 

Adjust the seasoning for the sauce with salt and pepper, as necessary. Coat the mussels with the sauce and sprinkle with fresh chopped basil just before serving.

Serving Information

Serve sprinkled with chopped basil, parsley and oregano. Add extra sauce as desired.
